Agnes A. Beeson (nee O'Neill), age 87, of Apopka, Florida passed away on Friday August 17, 2018. Agnes was born November 27, 1930; Beloved wife of the late Jerry Beeson; Loving mother of Linda (James) Gottschalk and Laura (Darrel) Clark; Cherished grandmother of Cara (Jeff) Goddard, James Gottschalk III, Chase (Giulia) Clark and Kylie Clark; Proud great grandmother of Genevieve Goddard; Kind daughter of the late Lawrence and Alice O'Neill Jr.; Dear sister of Larry O'Neill; Sweet sister in law of Sandra Polit and Mary Beeson; Fond aunt of Larry, Patty, Bob, Terri, Ken, Beverly, Tim, Dawn, Gerald, Kevin, Amy, and Jennifer; Lifelong friend of Lori Rook. Visitation Thursday 3 to 8 PM; Funeral Friday 9:45 AM from the Kenny Brothers Funeral Home, 3600 W. 95th St., to St. Germaine Church for Mass at 10:30 AM; Interment St. Mary Cemetery. While her favorite roles were mother and grandmother, Agnes enjoyed a lifetime of volunteering including Past President of the Good Samaritan Hospital Auxiliary where she launched the Candy Striper Program, Past President of Downers Grove Women's Club and Board Member of the Illinois General Federation of Women's Clubs. Agnes was a realtor in Downers Grove and worked at Carson Pirie Scott in Yorktown for nearly 10 years. She was a devoted Catholic, proud of her Irish roots and a huge fan of the Chicago White Sox and Notre Dame Football. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 8th Avenue, 7th Floor, New York, NY, 10001, would be appreciated.
