Aida Ortiz

February 2, 1940 — October 30, 2024

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Aida Luz Ortiz, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, daughter, and sister. She passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 30th, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Aida was a devout Catholic and a Eucharistic Minister at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church where she served her community with unwavering faith and dedication. Her love for her faith was matched only by her love for her family. She cherished her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, always finding joy in their presence and accomplishments.

An avid gardener, Aida found solace and beauty in her garden, nurturing it with the same care and attention she gave to her family and friends. Her green thumb was a testament to her patience and love for nature. Her love for sewing and creating things for family and friends will live on through her eldest granddaughter Mitzi.

As a teacher assistant, Aida dedicated her life to developing and preparing children for the future. Her passion for education and her nurturing spirit left a lasting impact on countless young lives. She was the eldest of 12 children. Aida held a special place in her heart for her parents and siblings. Her strong family values and deep love for her family were evident in everything she did.

She was married for 56 wonderful years to her beloved husband, Paquito, who predeceased her. Their enduring love and partnership were an inspiration to all who knew them. Aida will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, faith, and dedication will live on in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.
