Catherine (Cathy) Stella Bruno, 79 of Winter Park, FL passed away on Tuesday October 1st with her loving family by her side.

Cathy was born on April 14th 1945 in Brooklyn, NY to Phllip and Frances Todaro. She was the oldest of 4 children. Cathy, was born with Spina Bifida and with God and her strong will, was able to live a long and happy life. She truly was a medical miracle! Cathy met her husband Pietro (Pete) Bruno in May of 1970 and they were married the following year on July 11, 1971 in Brooklyn NY. Peter and Catherine moved to Winter Park, FL a few years later where they raised their three children. Cathy worked at Siemens as an electronics assembler up until she retired in 2001. If anyone knew Cathy, she was loyal, strong willed, funny and a genuinely kind person willing to talk to anyone and loved to just chat over coffee. She always made strangers feel like they were family. She loved her family dearly and loved to have the family over for Sunday dinners. A few of her specialties were her sliced roast beef, chicken cutlets and homemade cheesecake. The family always looked forward to Sunday dinners at home and enjoyed the time spent together. Cathy also loved to spend time with her grandchildren, they were her pride and joy. The grandchildren always looked forward to their visits. Cathy and Pete always brought tasty treats (Krispy Crème's and bagels) along with them to spoil the children.

Cathy is predeceased by her husband Pietro (Pete) Bruno, Father Philip Todaro, Mother Frances Todaro, Sister Stella Parrinello, Brother Anthony Todaro and Brother Frank Todaro.

Cathy is survived by her children Rosalia (Bruno) Hodges and her husband Brent Hodges of Mount Dora, FL, Frances (Bruno) Ribeiro and her husband Raul Ribeiro of Orlando, FL, Peter Bruno and his wife Theresa Bruno of Sylvania, AL and 6 grandchildren; Brenton Hodges, Brandon Hodges, Kaitlyn Hodges, Eva Bruno, Anna Bruno and Emma Bruno.
