Charles L. Carter III

Charles Landon Carter III, age 78, beloved Brother, Son, Spouse, and Uncle, was called to his eternal resting place on March 30, 2025. He entered this world on August 24, 1946 in St. Augustine, FL, born to Charles Landon Jr. and Hortense Carter. He is survived by his sister Charmane (Scott) Baumer, and nephew Scott Louis Baumer Jr. Charles is also survived by several nieces and cousins.

Notable interests, activities, hobbies, or passions:

He loved America, Lionel trains, playing golf, Gator football, playing basketball, music, donuts, and being a superb photographer.

He worked for his father in a T.V.station starting at 15 years old but was under his dad's feet at the station since a toddler.

He loved traveling around the world. Visited many countries, took a safari in South Africa, loved Germany, Spain, Morocco, Italy and more.

Charles was a kind and very generous man, extremely intelligent and loving with his family,friends, and church.

Graduated University of Florida in Electrical Engineering

Masters in Business Management from

Rollins College

Professional Engineer's Certificate

Was employed by General Dynamics, Martin Marietta, & FLIR.

Married Kathryn Seebeck on June 17, 1977

Received Patent for Advanced Laser Technology

He was also a pioneer in digital imagining technology and laser development for guidance systems.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 12th, 12:30pm at College Park Presbyterian Church, 118 E. Par St., Orlando FL. The family will receive friends prior beginning at 10:30am. Charles will be laid to rest in Highland Memory Gardens, Apopka, FL.
