Desiree Diana Sotirin

Desiree Diana Sotirin, 42, of Longwood, Florida, went to be with the Lord on Friday October 18, 2024. A loving, compassionate, devoted wife and mother, Desiree is survived by her husband Michael D. Sotirin, children Michael J. and Milania C. Sotirin, mother and father Carol and Michael J. DeAngelis, and brother Michael J. DeAngelis II.
Born on March 8, 1982, in Torrington, Connecticut, Desiree moved to Ormond Beach, Florida, in the early part of her life. She lived in Orlando, Florida, the last 24 years, save a few years in Charlotte, North Carolina, from 2008-2010. Desiree lived a life of tremendous passion, and service to others. She served her community as a Physical Therapist at Arnold Palmer Children's Hospital in the Pediatric Rehabilitation Department where she improved the lives of countless kids and their families over the last 15 years.
Desiree had a powerful presence, unstoppable attitude, and unwavering loyalty to those she cared for. She loved spending time with the family outside around bodies of water, never failed to miss a workout, and was an incredibly thoughtful gift giver. Desiree will be deeply missed and forever cherished by those who knew and loved her.
A celebration of life service will be held from 3pm to 6pm on Friday, November 8, 2024, at the Highland Funeral Home & Memory Gardens located at 3329 E Semoran Blvd, Apopka, FL 32703.
