Elvia Irula

Elvia Irula, 91, of Apopka, FL peacefully passed away at her home in the presence of her family on Monday, December 16, 2024. Elvia was born on April 11, 1933 to Jeronimo Irula and Rosa Galeas in La Ceiba, Honduras. Elvia was a seamstress for many years. She loved spending time with her family and had a passion for cooking, baking, and most importantly gardening. She also loved to travel. She was very proud to have made the trip by car from the United States to Honduras. It was one of her highest accomplishments that she made this trip four times. Elvia was a proud American Citizen. Elvia was preceded in death by her mother; Rosa, Father; Jeronimo, her son; Edwin Manuel Serrano, Grandson; Brian Mitchell, three sisters and four brothers. She is survived by her son; Jose L. Serrano; Daughters; Rosemary Serrano, Iris Alvarado, and Ana (David) Mitchell, brothers Carlos Irula and Edgardo Ramirez, 8 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, 7 great grandsons, and 1 great granddaughter, many nieces and nephews and friends. 

The Irula family will be welcoming friends and family for a visitation at Highland Funeral Home on Monday, December 23, 2024 from 10:30am to 12pm, a funeral service from 12pm to 1pm with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens.
