Georgina Nino rests in the Lord

On Thursday, September 26th, 2019, Georgina Nino, devoted mother and wife passed away at age 97.

Georgina was born on December 7, 1921 in San Gil, Colombia to Adolfo Nino and Tulia Torres. Her siblings were Pasion, Diana, Emma, Raul, Rafael, Alicia, Carlos and Cecilia. She was a hardworking woman with many talents; from culinary skills to seamstress to working for Stanhome. She married Jose Perez and had six children.

Georgina is survived by her children Gladys, Esperanza, Omar, Nancy, Yolanda and Ruth. Her grandchildren are: Valentin, Karen, Kevin, Kenneth, Emerson, Erika, Angie, Jairo, Edwin, Jenny, Carolina, Adriana, Alonso, Jonathan and Benjamin. Her great-grandchildren are: Sebastian, Giovanni, Johann, Adrian, Javier, Emily, Sofia, Samantha, Adriana, Andres, Gabriela, Alessandra, Josiah, Eliza, Isabella, Jaydon, Noelly, and Adassah. Her son-in-laws are Alonso and Jorge Luis and daughter-in-law, Nancy.



Georgina was a strong, determined, God loving person that lived a life of service. She was known for her generosity, her quick wit and contagious sense of humor. Her memorial service will be held on Friday, October 4, 2019 at the Highland Funeral Home on East Semoran Blvd at 12 o’clock pm.
