James Whitfield Spell, Jr. "Jimmy" (Born July 17, 1959; Deceased January 24, 2025)

James W. Spell, Jr., known as "Jimmy", beloved brother, Uncle, and faithful friend to many, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2025, Saint Cloud, Florida. Jimmy was raised in Orlando where he attended Holden Heights Baptist Church for Sunday School, VBS, Youth Group, and Church . Accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and Baptized. He had an excellent academic foundation at Catalina Elementary School, Memorial Junior High, and Boone High School (1970's). Enjoyed sports and played for the Football Teams of Memorial Junior and Boone High School. Favorite NFL Teams: Miami Dolphins, Dallas Cowboys, Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  

Lived a short time in the beautiful rolling hills of North Carolina, and then moved back to Central Florida where he began his 30-year career at the Orlando Convention Center. He served and worked in maintenance and security. He also worked in carpentry, painting, pressure washing, pool maintenance, and lawncare. Jimmy would help and give to others when asked or in need. Made donations to local thrift shops, pet shelters, and to the Goodwill. He loved animals as he cared for many kittycats owned by our parents, friends, neighbors, and fed stray cats. Puppy dogs made him laugh; he was kind and gentle towards pets. For Vacations, Jimmy would head to the beaches of Melbourne and Cocoa. The turtle family became his favorite icon.

Jimmy and his Mom loved to watch the old movies together, while on every Friday Night, Jimmy and Dad would watch Wrestle Mania! He enjoyed a variety of music: Rock-N-Roll, Top-40, Country Blues, and Old Fashion Hymns. He loved the smell of vanilla candles and favorite food was wings from Publix!

 Beloved Parents, Jim and Jane Spell, had 60 years of marriage before they passed away several years ago. Jimmy is survived by his siblings and relatives: Sister - Julia Spell Price (Phil); Nephews - Daniel and Andrew Price ; Niece - Mary Price (Ilija Lazarevski); Brother - Walter Randall Spell (Valerie); Sister - Kimberly Rose Spell (Gale Vincent). 

James W. Spell, Jr. will be laid to rest at the Highland Funeral Home and Memory Gardens, Apopka, Florida on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at 2:30pm. The Spell family will also be welcoming friends from 12:30pm to 1:30pm for a visitation with service to follow at 1:30pm.
