Jayne Wayson

Jayne Drake Wayson, 95, entered eternal life on Wednesday, July 7, 2021. Jayne was born May 25, 1926 to Walter and Nancy (Bryant) Drake in Chicago, Illinois.

Jayne deeply loved and was proud of her family. She is survived by her son Mark Wayson (wife Niki), daughter-in-law Cheryl Wayson, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren: Michael Wayson (wife Leslie, children Meredith and Amelia), Brant Wayson (wife Liesa), Zachary Wayson, Alex Dickens, Ally Wayson, Taylor Wayson, and an extended family of relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 51 years, George Wayson, her son, Drake Wayson and her sister, Nancy Moore.

Jayne was creative, witty, and adventurous. She worked for many years with her husband and son as an entrepreneur. She loved to travel, entertain, and learn new things. Jayne especially loved sewing blankets for needy children every week for the Linus Project. She made the most of every stage of life.

Jayne will be forever loved and greatly missed by all whose lives and hearts she touched.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Highland Funeral Home on Friday, July 30, 2021 at 9:30 AM.
