Jennifer Michelle Harman, a radiant soul who touched countless lives with her love, laughter, and unwavering faith, entered into eternal rest on August 12, 2023, at the age of 41. Jennifer's life, though marked by challenges, showcased her spirit's resilience and tenacity. She brightly embodied the joy and hope she found in Jesus Christ.
Born in Winter Park, Florida on May 19, 1982, Jennifer was a true Central Florida native. A lover of music, the beach, and extreme sports, Jennifer's enthusiasm for life was unmistakable. Her fondness for strumming the guitar, juggling, and surfing showcased her zest for life. She also deeply cherished moments of laughter shared with friends and family. Jennifer's passion extended to improv comedy, bowling as a member of the "Quad-squad", movies, psychology, and poker. She possessed a deep-seated desire to seek the truth, which she often expressed through writing.
A diving accident on July 4, 2000, might have changed the trajectory of Jennifer's life, but it did not diminish her spirit. Over time, she grew to know and love Jesus profoundly, and this relationship intensified her desire to help others. Eager to provide competent assistance, she pursued and attained her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in psychology, social work, and mental health counseling. Her desire to serve God by assisting others was the driving force behind her mentoring and volunteering. She frequently expressed that her greatest joys were to know and love Jesus, as well as to love and encourage others, come rain or shine.
Her final act of generosity exemplified her compassionate spirit. Fulfilling her wish as an organ donor, Jennifer bestowed the gift of life upon three individuals, a selfless act reflecting her life's dedication to uplifting others.
Jennifer's legacy of love and faith endures. She is lovingly remembered by her maternal grandmother, Margie; parents, Jim and Cindy; brother, Jon; dear friend, Carmen; and a host of friends and family blessed to have known her.
A Celebration of Life in honor of Jennifer will be held Saturday, August 26 at Neighborhood Alliance Church in Longwood, Florida at 1 pm, with doors opening at 12:15 pm. A private burial for Jennifer will also take place at Highland Memorial Gardens at 3 pm. Attire: Casual - Beach-theme encouraged (a touching tribute to Jennifer's favorite place).
In lieu of flowers and in keeping with Jennifer's wishes, she encouraged the purchase of a printed copy of the Holy Bible for yourself or someone you love, urging all to actively seek and cultivate a relationship with Jesus daily.
