Joselyn “Jodi” La Vine entered eternal life on Monday, August 21st, 2023, and her legacy is carried on by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends from many walks of life.
Jodi was born in Greensburg, PA and later at a young age moved to Orlando with her parents where she grew up in Forest City and later graduated from Edgewater High School. After high school, Jodi worked in retail several years until she worked administration at the Apopka tag office where she was employed for over 20 years. Jodi later became the proud mom of her son Joshua Lee Thompson. In 1991 Jodi married the love of her life Daniel La Vine where they later built their dream home in Sorrento, Fla and later became the proud mom of daughter Danielle Maria La Vine
If you were fortunate to have known Jodi then you know she fiercely loved her family and was known to her grandkids as “Glammie”, adored her dogs Chewy & Bailey, was a talented artist, loved music especially Elvis, Josh Groban, Andrea Bocelli, the Eagles, and Celine Dion. She loved the color pink, makeup and dressing up, line dancing, “glamping”, scary movies, holidays, sitting by the fireplace, and had a fierce sense of humor that could take you by surprise in a split second you are laughing until you couldn’t catch your breath.
Survivors include her husband Danny, children and grandchildren Danielle and son Beau, Joshua, and his children Diana (Jack), Cody, and Julian, sister Karrie Ronk (Bret, Mathew, and Nicholas).
Jodi was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Anne in 2021
Friends can visit with Jodi’s family from 12-1pm, Monday August 28th at Highland Funeral Home, Forest City, Fla with Celebration of Life to follow at 1pm. For those planning to attend the service, we hope to celebrate Jodi by not wearing “dark and dreary” but rather “bright and cheery” like her favorite color pink.
Burial will be private following services.
