JUDY DARLENE CASSARO was born on January 18, 1948 in Orlando, FL. She grew up in the small town of Orlando before Disney and Cape Canaveral were built. In her younger adult years, she worked as an assembly line worker & technician at various electronic facilities until various medical problems interefered with her work.
She married John A. Cassaro on April 28, 1980. The couple lived in Ocoee, Orlando, Longwood, Sanford, & finally settled in Deltona where they lived for 33 years and where her husband still resides.
Darlene had a very sweet spirit and was a very loving and kind person despite the many medical problems that caused her much pain. She was always a giving person and reached out to many to help them. Darlene became a born again Christian as a teenager & re-dedicated her life to Jesus in 1990 along with her husband John.
In 2010, she was diagnosed with dementia. She suffered along with her caregiver John with the disease until she went home to Jesus on her birthday, January 18, 2021. "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord"
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 25th from 10am - 11am at Highland Funeral Home, 3329 E. Semoran Blvd., Apopka FL.; where funeral services will be held beginning at 11am. Judy will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Gotha, FL.
Judy is preceded in death by her father Gene Waters, mother Vivian (Putman), and brother Butch.
