Lourdes Alvarez

Lourdes Marina Alvarez, a beloved schoolteacher and cherished member of the community known for her kindness and dedication, passed away on August 16, 2024, at her home in Apopka, Florida. Born on October 25, 1932, in the Dominican Republic, Lourdes touched the lives of many through her passion for education and nurturing spirit.

Having earned a Bachelor's Degree, Lourdes devoted her career to shaping young minds as a schoolteacher. Her impact resonates within the hearts of her students, colleagues, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. With her Puerto Rican heritage, she brought warmth and joy to every classroom, leaving a lasting legacy of compassion and knowledge.

Lourdes is survived by her loving daughter, Norivet Alvarez, and niece, Marina Nieves.

Family and friends are invited to honor her life and memory, viewing from 6:00pm to 8pm at Highland Memory Gardens on Thursday, August 22, 2024. Funeral Service, to be held Friday, August 23, 2024, at 10:00am.
