Margaret Dean (Watson) Jespersen, 87, went to her heavenly home on January 25, 2024 at Advent Hospice facility on Montgomery Ave in Altamonte Springs with family by her side.
She was survived by her husband, Del Jespersen of 25 years, children; Deborah (Marc) Beaulieu, Randy (Carmen) Lovings, Delora (David) Hade, David (Jennifer) Jespersen and Susan Jo Jespersen. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, brother H. B. Watson and sister Joyce (Robert) Brickner and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by parents, Horace B. and Effie E. (Goings) Watson, 3 sisters and 1 brother.
Margaret was born in Bridgeboro, GA on October 18, 1936. Margaret spent her early years living in GA .and FL. In 1951 the Watson family moved to Apopka, Florida. As a young woman Margaret enjoyed riding the bus from Apopka to downtown Orlando to work in retail. After working several years at College Park Restaurant and City of Orlando she decided to go into business for herself owning Charm Center Beauty Salon and later starting Wyn-Mar Plant Care.
Margaret was an active member of First Baptist Church of Orlando and served faithfully in many ministries. She worked with the children's choir, ushered services, sang in the adult choir, and participated in the Singing Christmas Trees for many years. Margaret was a faithful Orlando Magic fan. She was an usher for many games.
A celebration of life service will be held on Feb 16, 2024, 11:00 AM, in Henry Chapel, First Baptist Orlando, 3000 S. John Young Parkway, Orlando, FL 32805.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Orlando Music Ministry,
St. Jude’s Children's Hospital or the Shriners Hospital for Children.
