Johnny Charles McQueen affectionately known as "JC" was born October 12, 1937, to the late Jessie L. Rush and John McQueen in Bradfordville, Florida. Johnny made his transition from this life to eternal rest on Monday, June 19, 2023.
He was educated at Bonds Elementary School and Florida A&M University High School. While at FAMU high he was a member of the SGA, the Varsity Club, and the football team. Johnny was a member of the High School Class of 1956.
After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Army. While in the Army he served on bases in the United States and in Germany.
Following a three-year, enlistment he married his high school sweetheart Anna Margaret Reese on the 30th of August 1959. From this union they were blessed with two children. Valerie Anise was born November 1, 1960, and Victor Antonio was born on June 6, 1962. He preceded his father in death.
Johnny began his studies at Florida A&M University while working at Florida State University and serving in the Army Reserve to support his family. In December of 1966, he received his Bachelor of Science degree with "Greater Distinction" in Political Science.
After graduation he moved his family to Washington, D.C. where he started his career with the Federal Government and the Social Security Administration working in various roles. He retired from the Office of Hearings and Appeals as an Analyst in 2003 with more than 30 years of service.
