This service is a celebration of life to honor the life of Noel Christopher Caven, who departed this life on February 18, 2025, at the age of 53. Noel was born on April 12, 1971, in Boston, MA, and is a descendent of Jamaica West Indies. He spent his last years in Davenport, FL. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, son, uncle, and great-uncle cherished for his vibrant spirit and culinary talents.
Noel was a talented chef in the hospitality industry, where he showcased his passion for food and dedication to those he served. He had a remarkable ability to bring people together through his cooking, creating not just meals but lasting memories. Noel's love for his craft was evident in every dish he prepared, as he constantly sought to inspire joy and connection among family and friends.
Those who knew Noel will remember him for his infectious smile and overwhelming laughter, his deep-rooted faith in Jesus, and his unwavering commitment to spreading love and kindness to all those he encountered. He had a rare gift for making people feel welcomed.
During leisure hours after work Noel and his loving wife enjoyed cruising on their motorcycle. Together they explored and experienced unique cuisines while breezing down the road. He also enjoyed souping up cars, and every now and then, he thought he was in the movie Fast and Furious.
Noel is survived by his beloved wife, Yenny Caven-Pena; sons Dakota and Brandon Caven; stepdaughters Yeicar, Allenson, and Breana Riera; mother Inez Jones; brothers David and Erik Jones and Dana Matthews; sisters Nicole Deed and Carla Penn. Aunt Cynthia Mompoint, cousins Venise Carrasco, Teresa Denson, Allen Mompoint, and Allysia Mompoint, and a host of nieces and nephews. Each of these family members will carry forward the love and warmth Noel brought into their lives.
Although Noel's physical presence may no longer grace our lives, his spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May his memory be a blessing, and we carry forward his legacy of love and compassion in all we do.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 26, at Highland Funeral Home, 3329 E. Semoran Blvd., Apopka, FL., starting at 10am. Funeral services will be immediately following, beginning at 1:15pm. Noel will rest in Highland Memory Gardens, Apopka, FL.
