Paul Steven Gula

Paul Steven Gula, P.E., 68, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 31, 2025. Paul was born in Akron, OH on July 31,1956, to Margaret Sarah Gula and John Gula. He moved to Florida after college where he met his beloved wife, raised his family, and was a faithful member of Northland Church. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. 

Paul graduated from the University of Akron, Magna Cum Laude, with a BS in Civil Engineering, and a MS in Civil Engineering. He received his Professional Engineer license in 1984. He also enjoyed breeding and raising Lake Tanganyikan Cichlids and was a member of the Central Florida Aquarium Society and the Tampa Bay Aquarium Society where he won many awards.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, David Michael Gula, and sister, Susan Margaret Bandrowski. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Deborah Lynn Gula, sons, Steven (Sarah), Paul (Heather), daughter, Megan, grandchildren, Jordan Gula, Ethan Gula, Clayton Gula, and Oliver Gula, brothers, Frank (Becky) and John (Cathy) Gula and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at 10 am on Friday, February 7, 2025, in the Chapel of Highland Funeral Home, 3329 East Semoran Blvd, Apopka, FL with Reverend Gus Davies officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 4 – 7.
