Shirley Ann Rainer, was born August 30, 1935 in Columbus, GA to Teady & Willie Mae Tomblin. She was an only child and wished for a large family. She married her high school sweetheart, Roy in Georgia on March 2, 1958, and celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary earlier this year. They relocated to Florida in 1965 residing briefly in Daytona Beach and Sarasota, then moved to Orlando in 1972 and Ocoee in 1989.
They were blessed with five children - Mark (wife Jane), Terry (wife Toni), Stan (wife Cheryl), Todd (wife Connie), and Leann (husband David). Their family continued to grow with 10 grandchildren - Jennifer, Danielle, Cori, Sean, Billy, Joey, Erin, Blake, Rachel, and Devon - and 7 great-grandchildren - Dylan, Bradley, Matthew, Savannah, Bryson, Remy, and Edie.
She loved to participate in and watch sports. While bowling she earned a patch for a 200 game. One of her greatest pleasures was to watch her children and grandchildren take part in activities such as soccer, baseball, football, gymnastics, or anything else they were doing.
She also loved to fish. The shores and piers in Titusville and New Smyrna Beach were two of her favorite places.
She passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on April 9, 2018. She has left a legacy of love and laughter and will be greatly missed.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 13, 2018 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 1:30 with Funeral and Burial Services on Saturday April 14, 2018 starting at 2:30pm at Highland Funeral Home & Memory Gardens in Apopka, FL.
