Stephen R. Baker

It is with a heavy heart, we announce the passing of our cherished Stephen (Steve) Ryan Baker. He was 52 years old.

Steve lived in Longwood, Florida and was the eldest son of Bruce and Kathy Baker. Steve was preceded in death by his younger brother Wesley Stuart Baker.

Stephen is survived by his parents Bruce and Kathy; beloved daughters, Kayla and Kameron; and beautiful granddaughter Vivienne; paternal grandparents Colleen and Bill; and many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends.

After graduating high school and attending some college he went on to train and work in the field of information technology. Steve worked at 3x Logic and was recognized as a 2024 Finalist for the prestigious Securitas Purpose Award - Team Category. He and his team exemplified the core values and mission of Securitas making it to the Finals. Though we will never know the outcome, we do know he truly strived to do his best. 

He grew up being very close to his maternal grandparents (mamaw and pa) spending much time with them helping with what they needed and lovingly pestering them at times. He often talked about many fond memories with close family and cousins during this time. 

His deepest love was for his daughters, Kayla and Kameron. He only wished he had been able to spend more time with them. Though he never got the chance to meet his granddaughter Vivienne, he loved her so much and she brought out his big beautiful smile with every picture and video.

He enjoyed reading, watching football (especially FSU and Miami Dolphins), watching boxing and shooting pool. His greatest passion was fishing, never getting enough time to wet a line. Steve had an outgoing personality and never met a stranger. Those that knew Steve, knew he was compassionate for others who were in need and would do anything he could to help them. His family will remember him as a man's man who loved them dearly. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten, his memory living on in the hearts of those he touched.
