In Loving Memory of Susan Tucker
Susan Tucker, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on May 13th, 2023, with her loving husband Ben by her side. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories that will forever be treasured by those who knew her.
Susan was born in Ballinger, TX, and though her journey took her to different places, her heart was always filled with the warmth of her Texan roots. She spent her early years in Ballinger until her family made their way to California and later settled in Orlando, FL. It was in Orlando that she found her lifelong partner, Ben, and together they embarked on a beautiful journey.
Following her passion for helping others, Susan pursued her education at Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL, where she earned her Master's Degree in Speech and Language. Armed with her knowledge and determination, Susan made a significant impact on the lives of countless students during her 33-year tenure with the State of Florida educational system, primarily in the Seminole County school district.
Family meant the world to Susan, and her devotion to her husband, Ben, and their three boys, Shawn, Jason, and Alan, knew no bounds. The bond they shared was one of love, laughter, and unwavering support. Tragically, Susan was predeceased by her eldest son, Shawn, leaving behind cherished memories that will be forever held in the hearts of her family.
Susan's love extended to her grandchildren, Rileigh, Audrey, Ryan, Camden, Peighton, Jaxon, and Tanner, who brought immense joy to her life. They created cherished memories together, and she delighted in spending time with them, especially during trips to Disney and family adventures.
Known for her welcoming personality and incredible culinary skills, Susan was like a second mother to many of her sons' friends, teammates, and neighbors. She was always there for them, offering a comforting presence and delicious meals that left lasting impressions on their hearts.
On July 22, 2023, family and friends will gather at the Highland Memorial Gardens to honor Susan's life and celebrate the profound impact she had on each of them. Her memory will be forever etched in their minds as they recall her warmth, love, and the way she made them feel like family.
Susan is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, Ben, her loving son Jason, and her adoring son Alan. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, whose lives she enriched with love and affection. In addition, Susan is survived by her sister, Linda Canada, and her family, several nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, and a host of dear friends and loved ones.
In our hearts, Susan Tucker will forever remain a beacon of love and strength. She will be dearly and lovingly missed, but her memory will continue to shine brightly through the lives of all those she touched.
Rest in peace, Susan. Your love will endure in our hearts forever.
